This study investigates the effectiveness of the storytelling method in enhancing positive behavior among second-grade students (Class II-A) at SDN Margorejo 1 Surabaya. This case study employed a descriptive qualitative approach, gathering data through observation, documentation, field notes, and pre- and post-tests. While both pre- and post-tests revealed maximum scores (5) for all students, qualitative analysis revealed that storytelling successfully reinforced pre-existing moral awareness. The interactive storytelling activities, combined with ice-breaking sessions and an educational song "Five Magic Words", fostered deep emotional engagement. These findings support the notion that the internalization of character values is not solely measured quantitatively but also through meaningful affective experiences. This study demonstrates the potential of storytelling as an effective pedagogical approach in character education at the elementary school level.
