Implementation of Multiple Intelligences in Language Learning: Identifying Preferences, Strategies, Motivations, and Physiological Factors
Abstract
This research discusses the implementation of Multiple Intelligences theory in language learning with a focus on identifying learning preferences, learning strategies, motivation, and physiological factors that influence learning success. The Multiple Intelligences theory developed by Howard Gardner emphasizes that human intelligence is not only limited to linguistic and logical-mathematical aspects, but also includes various other dimensions such as visual-spatial, kinesthetic, musical, interpersonal, intrapersonal, and naturalist intelligence. This study uses the literature review method with a descriptive analysis approach to collect and analyze various related scientific sources. The results show that learning strategies tailored to students' dominant intelligences can increase the effectiveness of language learning. Learning motivation also plays an important role in successful learning, especially when teaching methods are aligned with individual learning styles. In addition, physiological factors, such as physical health and sensory function, contribute significantly to students' ability to understand and master language. The implication of this study confirms that a Multiple Intelligences-based learning approach can create a learning environment that is more inclusive and adaptive to students' needs, thus improving language learning outcomes optimally.
