Integration of Learners' Learning Characteristics in Character Building Efforts
Abstract
The characteristics of learners and their learning styles are key factors in shaping effective character education. Each student possesses unique traits, encompassing cognitive, affective, and social abilities, as well as preferred learning styles such as visual, auditory, and kinesthetic. Understanding these characteristics is a crucial foundation in designing responsive and inclusive learning plans. This study employs a literature review method with a descriptive approach to explore how learning styles influence learning effectiveness and how this can be linked to the reinforcement of character values. Character education not only focuses on academic achievement but also on cultivating moral values such as responsibility, honesty, and discipline. The findings indicate that aligning learning strategies with student characteristics can significantly enhance motivation, engagement, and the internalization of character values. Therefore, integrating the understanding of learning characteristics with character education is essential in creating an effective learning process.
