The Urgency of Initial Ability in Optimizing Learner Learning
Abstract
In a learning process, an appropriate method, model, approach, and strategy are needed for students. This is obtained from the creativity and ability of an educator in programming a lesson plan. Each student has a different character and has their own skills. So that the way educators manage the learning process must innovate, because equal treatment of all students and levels of education, it will result in a less-than-optimal learning process. Therefore, one of the important stages in the learning planning process is to analyze the characteristics of students. It is known that the characteristics of each student at the elementary school level are different from those at the secondary school level. Their mindsets, perceptions, and ways of coping with problems are very different. This article will discuss the importance of analyzing the initial abilities of students from age, physical, psychomotor, academic, and attitude development. This is done to ensure that a learning program is designed and implemented by the profile of students who will take the learning process.
