Abstract

The idea of Poverty of the Stimulus is a key point in generative linguistics, suggesting that what kids hear isn't enough to explain how they understand and use complex language. This paper aims to talk about how the Language Acquisition Device, created by Noam Chomsky, helps explain this idea through built-in contributions. Using a method that describes and analyzes, this study looks at how the built-in ways in the LAD help kids change limited input into a grammar system that works well and follows general rules. The discussion's findings show that the LAD acts as a thinking tool with grammar rules and ideas that everyone shares, guiding kids in understanding the language data around them from the inside. Because of this, the LAD's existence is strong proof that learning a language doesn't just depend on what we experience, but also on thinking skills we're born with that are the same for everyone. This article highlights that the link between the LAD and PoS shows how our biological and thinking parts work together when people learn languages
