Development of Educational Flashcards to Improve Elementary Madrasah Students’ Understanding of Wudhu and Tayamum

Abstract

This research aims to develop educational card media on ablution and tayamum materials and to determine the level of effectiveness and feasibility in Fiqh learning class I Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. This research uses a research and development approach with the stages of needs analysis, media design, development, and implementation. The educational card media was designed using the Canva application and was piloted to grade I students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. Data collection was carried out through student response questionnaires and comprehension tests after the use of educational card media. The data analysis technique was carried out descriptively to see the level of feasibility and effectiveness of the developed media. The results of the study showed that the educational card media developed received a positive response from students and was able to increase students' understanding of ablution and tayamum materials. This media is considered suitable for use as a learning medium because it helps students understand the order and procedures of worship more clearly and systematically. Thus, educational card media can be an alternative to Fiqh learning media that is effective and in accordance with the characteristics of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah students.
